That’s right! Semi-private or private ‘family ranch vacations’! Our ranch only hosts a maximum of eight to ten riding guests at a time so this means that there are only two to three families at the ranch at a time! Our U.S. and International guests are always thrilled with their incredible horse experience and Southern hospitality at the Sequatchie Valley B&B Guest Ranch in Tennessee!
Since you may have found out about our ranch through other web based travel companies, you may not have actually visited our ‘Official’ Guest Ranch website. After reviewing the info below, please be sure to visit our web site directly at www.TNHorseVacation.com for more information and photos of our Guest Ranch and a peak at some of our beautiful Guest Ranch Horses.
So what is a day like at the Tennessee Guest Ranch? Well, first of all you better keep your boots by your bed because you'll be up at the crack of dawn...really! When the rooster crows it's time to feed your horse, groom him and clean out his hooves...and that's all before breakfast! When the breakfast bell rings...come and get it! "Or come and fix it", we should say! That's because here at the ranch you'll be eatin’ like the ranchers and cowboys did out west in the ole’ days…with a few modern conveniences of course! Yep, you’ll be rolling your own oats, grinding your own grains, and maybe even milking the cow!
After breakfast, it's time to mount up and hit the trail (or the training arena)! The first day of your vacation will actually be training on the ranch with two separate riding sessions...one after breakfast and the other after lunch! The horsemanship training is excellent, the views - whether in the ring or on the trail - are in incredible! Starting on the second day, don't forget to pack your saddle bags for our riverside lunch and Bible study on the trail! That’s right, while relaxing riverside during lunch your family will also enjoy learning what the Bible has to say about horses! Did you know there are over 200 scriptures relating to horses in the Bible? You will be amazed at what God has to say about one of His most magnificent creatures…the Horse! After lunch and relaxation at the river it’s time to mount up and move ‘em out…back to the ranch…or farther down the trail!
When your day in the saddle is over, there is still plenty of work to be done! Back at the ranch you’ll take care of your beautiful steed by grooming him, cleaning out his hooves and feeding him. Depending on the season your horse may even need a quick bath! At the end of the day you’ll enjoy a Southern home-cooked dinner on the old Johnson Dairy Farm at the Cookie Jar Café or some delicious country hand-pulled B-B-Q at one of our towns quaint family owned restaurants (all included in your guest ranch stay!).
