Learn where your food comes from! Hold a chick, collect eggs, spin wool, feed the animals. Get dirt under your nails while you learn to garden, save seeds, butcher a chicken, milk a goat or ride a horse! Learn useful skills like chopping wood, building a fire, archery, canning your own food, making soap or cheese. And if that's not enough to make you want to visit...we have kittens!
Our goal is for you to not just have fun, but to leave the ranch having learned something.

Flip Flop Ranch
FULL DESCRIPTION OF LISTING
Flip Flop Ranch is a small family farm and farm stay bed and breakfast located in Lucerne Valley, California-the site of the last indian battle ever fought. At our farm in in the High Desert of Southern California, we teach visitors about farming and give them a taste of the farm life. We are dedicated to the preservation of very rare and very endangered breeds of American livestock as well as being dedicated to teaching people about farmlife. We offer tours, classes, workshops and overnight bed and breakfast stays to teach people about farming and homesteading skills.
We offer a peek into a rural lifestyle that disappeared for many when the family farm was sold, often generations ago. There is a pace to life on the ranch that starts with the early morning wake-up call by the rooster and the sound of the farm equipment and that ends with quiet and the total darkness at night, except for a fantastic view of the stars.
As a working farm, we have a variety of animals so you can learn about livestock, collect eggs and milk a goat! Learn to sheer a sheep or take one of our homesteading classes and learn to make cheese or soap, plant a garden, keep bees and more. Learn to farm!
Stay in the guest farmhouse with a full kitchen and up to 5 bedrooms.
We cook breakfast for you in the guest farmhouse. There are restaurants within 10 minutes or you are welcome to cook in the guest kitchen.
Help us feed the animals and milk the goats! We offer horse riding, a kid's program, archery, and various homesteading skills such as learning to make soap!
