FULL DESCRIPTION OF LISTING
The Cheff Guest Ranch lies on a mountain side overlooking the beautiful Mission Valley in North Central Montana. Guests may choose to take part in the daily routine of our working cattle and horse ranch. Others prefer to spend their time exploring the beauty of our area on foot or horseback, swimming in a nearby mountain lake or just relaxing among the tall pines and fir trees on the ranch lawn. Opportunities for fishing abound near the ranch. The National Wildlife Refuge, in the valley below, has many trout streams and lakes full of bass, bullhead, perch and sunfish to challenge and delight all fishermen. In the fall, we pack in 30 miles to hunt big game in the South Fork of the Flathead River area, part of the Bob Marshall Wilderness. We will hunt amidst one of the largest herd of elk in Montana. Fishing in the area is also excellent and the scenery alone is worth the trip. Hunting season opens September 15th in our designated area No. 150 for elk, deer, brown bear, black bear, mountain lion and mountain goat. Our first hunt is a nine day trip. Other trips last eight to ten days. Each trip has six to eight hunters with a guide for every two hunters, except for the one on one late 10 day hunts.
