If your looking for a true authentic active experience at a genuine working ranch where you can learn hands on cowboy skills and techniques then that is indeed what we are all about. The TX Ranch along with the wild life, old homesteaders' cabins and an abundance of wild flowers is a photographers paradise! The TX Ranch provides an exceptional working ranch experience and everything you'll need for the week including free Billings, Montana transportation. Our scenic ranch riding, cattle drives and cattle working activities are all a very genuine part of each day. We are a busy ranch with a lot of country to cover and plenty of cattle with in it's boundaries. Hip, Loretta & Desiree Tillett along with our cowboy's and gal's are happy to help show you how it's done! At the TX your welcome to join in with your horse while riding and punching cattle, cutting out herd, rounding up cattle or chasing down strays and for the more prolific ones roping as well, we're happy to help any enthusiast! Feel free to try at your own pace or simply relax and enjoy the ride, our ranch activities are not compulsory by any means. Our ranch riding is a great experience too. It gives any rider a purpose, plus it helps a rider feel at ease with their horse quickly. We have plenty of gentle well mannered horses for every riding level. So many guests feel they return home with a renewed out look on life and more confidence in their horsemanship skills!

Nothing beats riding home to a great home cooked meal! At the TX we are based and work out of three seasonal cow camps where the cattle are located during the season. Our camps are original home stead sites with well know local history. The camps are located in a scenic, comfortable camp style setting away from it all! Our camp cabin is where great ranch style home cooked meals are prepared. We dine there, we consider it home and we want you to feel like part of the family. This is where hot coffee, tea, coco, water and a verity of cold drink mixes are readily available. Everyone sleeps in wall tents on camp beds. Wood heating stoves are supplied. Camp facilities include out houses, out door shower house, a wash area with spring fed water tank, fresh water for drinking and personal use.
Dining:
Home-cooked meals are prepared in a log cabin and are eaten at tables in the cabin or outdoors around the campfire.
Entertainment:
During evenings we like to relax and unwind around a warm open camp fire reminiscing the day with a bit of humor, tunes, guitar and with friends from around the globe. We like to practice roping so count on a roping match or two! What ever it may be and what more could you ask for!
