Aspen Ridge Resort offers guests a real ranch vacation. Set on the historic Fishhole Creek Ranch which was homesteaded in the mid-1800's, the resort overlooks a high-mountain meadow where cattle and buffalo share the lush green expanse. Opened in 1992, the resort is rustically elegant with handcrafted log cabins and lodge. The lodge features a wonderful restaurant, large rock fireplaces in the great room and lounge, beautiful antiques, and warm hospitality. Eighteen miles off the highway, this 14,000 acrea ranch is surrounded by National Forest land. This is a working cattle ranch with a resort atmosphere, running a thousand head of cattle, where guests can ride horseback with the ranch cowboys to check, doctor, or move cattle. Guests set their own pace: riding, fishing, mountain biking, playing tennis, or simply relaxing in this beautiful setting.
