Since the release of movies such as City Slickers and Lonesome Dove the appeal of the American West, riding horses, wide open spaces, herds of cattle, and western life-styles have become increasingly popular. While many travelers are satisfied with illusory depictions of life in the West in the form of 'Dude' ranches with their swimming pools and plodding trail rides, we provide the adventurous traveler the opportunity to experience the real West on a 5th generation "Working Cattle Ranch."

Most guests stay in our 3-Bedroom "Bunkhouse ". Each has a queen sized bed and western furnishings. All rooms have recently been redecorated.
For 2008 we have added a new "cook house" with satellite television, 2 bathrooms, laundry area, kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The Cook House is also used as an eating and gathering area and for relaxation at night. Guests sleep in the cook house, three bedroom bunkhouse in the picture and a small one room cabin. Guests can usually have their own bedroom if they wish (except for the Cattle Drives).
Dining:
You won't go hungry at the Flynn Ranch. Many barbecues are held at the "Dry Creek Cabin" during the summer. It has been a favorite place to get together with friends for over four generations. We are also building a new "cookhouse" that will be finished for 2008 with room for guests to eat and get together at night to discuss the daily "adventures".
Meals consist of hearty ranch cooking. You can definitely work up an appetite in this mountain air.
Breakfast is served at 7 a.m. and consists of a variety of breakfast meats (sausage, bacon, etc.), eggs, fruit, cereal, toast, coffee and tea.
Lunch is usually served picnic style out on the range
Dinner is typically served at the ranch. Lots of hearty ranch cooking with beef, chicken, potatoes, gravy, fresh vegetables, fish, etc.
Special dietary needs are provided upon request.
Entertainment:
We have at least one barbecue at the Dry Creek Cabin during the week.
One (or more) evening is spent at the "Bunkhouse Bar" to get to know the local and sometimes "colorful" citizens of this area.
