The gates of the historic Chief Joseph Ranch were opened to the public in the summer of 2004 under the new ownership of the Shupp family. These year-round Owners-Operators of the ranch are Bob, Janet, Ryan and Shelley. Since arriving, they have sought to restore the historic grounds and buildings of what was once known as the Ford & Hollister Ranch.

Chief Joseph Lodge:There are three different suites to choose from, each with a private bathroom. In addition, guests of the Main Lodge are served a continental breakfast each morning. Enjoy reading a book in front of the 30-foot tall stone fireplace in the Great Room, or simply relax in the tranquility of the West Porch as the sun sets over the Bitterroot Mountains
The Looking Glass Room:
A two room, one bath suite. The main room has a queen bed, and the sleeping porch has a full bed and one full-size sleeper sofa. The room overlooks the Bitterroot River to the south.
Red Thunder Room:The Red Thunder Room has a queen bed and private bath. The room has a view of the Sapphire Mountains, while a cozy sitting area looks over the beautiful Bitterroot Valley.
The White Bird Room:The White Bird Room has a queen bed and private bath. Enjoy beautiful sunrises as you gaze at the Sapphire Mountains.
