Watch the sun slip behind the mountains making way for the brilliant glory of the starlit sky.
Ideally located just 21 miles North of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, but surrounded by millions of acres of pristine forest, this intimate guest ranch presents everything for a fun and affordable getaway. The Elk River Guest Ranch is an enchanting mountain retreat that offers both solitude and adventure.
We cater to those who want to indulge in a multitude of activities or just relax. The Elk River Guest Ranch is an exquisite setting for weddings, family reunions, business retreats, or private parties. Summer and Winter rates provide comfortable lodging, delicious meals and friendly service.
The Elk River Guest Ranch has self-catering cabins available for overnight guests. The primary heat source in each cabin is either electric baseboard or propane. Running water is both hot and cold. Nice bed and bathroom linens are included in each cabin. All beds have full pillows, comforters and soft sheets. All kitchens are complete with cooking and eating utensils along with microwaves, coffee pots, fresh whole coffee beans and grinder and a welcome snack basket. Check in time is 3:00 p.m. Check out time is 10 a.m. unless previously arranged. Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the premises. Rates are based on double occupancy. Children 12 years old and under are free.
No matter what the season, the Elk River Guest Ranch is a spectacular setting for picnics,special events, family reunions or business retreats. Onsite catering can be arranged for private parties and special events. Throughout the summer and fall season, evening horseback or wagon rides include drinks in the Ranch's Silhouette Saloon and a bonfire roast of healthy hotdogs, brats and old fashioned s'mores. Full bar service is available after the afternoon and evening trail rides. You're welcome to bring a picnic or enjoy one of our lunch rides or the evening bonfire roast. SILHOUETTE SALOON – Join in the fun of the full service Silhouette Saloon. Enjoy drinks in a quiet, western atmosphere with beautiful scenery, the sounds of the river and excellent service. Hours of operation may alter for each season, private parties and weddings, but in general it is open nightly during dinner rides.
