If you've been hankerin'for a touch of the Old West, you will find it at Cottonwood. Outdoor and horse lovers come to the ranch to share in the friendly western atmosphere and enjoy the clean air of the high desert and the beauty of the magnificent mountains of the Jarbidge Wilderness. At Cottonwood you'll be 'riding the range' with the cowboys as they move cattle to fresh grasslands. You'll experience the camaraderie between you and your horse as you spend as many hours in the saddle as you want riding into a true cattle ranch experience. For an adventure of a lifetime join our horse drive as we bring the horses home over 50 miles of open range crossing mountain streams and through rimrock canyons. You'll spend four exciting days on the trail and end the day around the campfire. Take a pack trip into the Jarbidge Mountains where you spend your days exploring this remote dramatic mountain range. Hidden mountain lakes, meadows of wild flowers, and old prospector's cabins are a delightful bonus. In September when the aspen turn gold listening to the elk bugle back and forth is a spine tingling experience. Evenings are spent in wilderness camps where delicious meals are served around the campfire.Some trips take you high over the mountains into the historic old mining town of Jarbidge. For a unique fishing trip, take a horseback trip into the Wilderness to fish the East Fork of the Jarbidge River. It's a beautiful remote mountain stream teeming with trout and only accessible on horseback or on foot. Join us at Cottonwood. We love to share this little known but beautiful part of Nevada where you will experience a wonderful western adventure you will always remember.

Accomodations: Cottonwood's seven bedrooms are each complete with a private bath. The luxurious lodge features a spacious dining room & spectacular great room with a variety of seating areas, a bar and a large stone fireplace. There is a cozy area behind the massive fireplace for reading, quiet conversation and computer internet access. Next to the fireplace is a game table for chess, checkers, backgammon or cards. The Lodge also features a large deck where guests gather to take in the magnificent views of the barn, arena, meadows & mountains. There is also a recreation room which is totally separated from the other living spaces. There you'll find a pool table, a large flat screen television, comfortable seating, and the entry to the Cottonwood Trading Post. The hot tub is also a very popular and healthy way to relax and soothe your body after an exhilerating and unforgetable day on the range.
Dining: 3 hearty meals served daily in our spacious dining room, out on the deck or on the trail. Sack lunches when on the trail or on a horse/cattle drive. Some Chuck Wagon lunches depending on activity.
Entertainment: Cowboy poetry and music on some occasions.
